FINALLY

Well, we FINALLY got to see our doctor today.  We had an appointment on Tuesday, but the doctor was called to delivery.  We had the option of waiting, but decided since we had Josiah we would just reschedule.  They weren't sure how long it would be so we didn't want to take the chance.  We were all set to go back on Wednesday.  As we were getting ready to the leave the church, a person came in needing some counseling.  Since Chris was the only one there, he needed to do it.  So here I was off to the doctor by myself with Josiah.  On  my way there, I thought about calling to reschedule.  I wasn't really sure what to do when the phone started ringing.  It was the doctor's office calling to say that our doctor was called in for an emergency c-section.  I'm glad that God took care of the decision for me.  We scheduled another appointment today, and we FINALLY got to see the doctor.  While I was meeting with her, she did get a phone call from an EMT so I thought she was going to be headed off again.  It wasn't anything too serious, so we were able to finish our appointment.  We go back in a month to see her again and will be at 20 weeks--half way there.  Between now and then, we need to schedule an ultrasound.  It's a little strange to have to make an appointment elsewhere instead of going to the doctor's office.  I guess when you get into bigger cities the doctors can really do what they are trained for.  It was so wonderful to hear our little one's heartbeat.  It is ALWAYS the sweetest sound to my ears.  We are staying pretty busy over the next week.  We have Family Camp Day on Saturday, and I will be glad when it is over.   There is a lot of planning and organizing, and I'm ready for a break.  Sunday afternoon can't get here soon enough for me.   Monday, Chris will be heading to PA for his ordination exam.  This is the oral part which is the second to last step in the process.  We are praying that he will be ordained in September when we go to the presbytery meeting in MA.  So as you can see, we could really be covered in prayer.  Pray that we all have the strength and energy to get through these days and that we all stay healthy.  Thanks in advance for all the prayers!
