Well, it’s almost been a week since we found out that I’m 99.9% pregnant. We have an appointment on June 11th with Dr. Bob to take a pregnancy test to confirm what we already know. We ended up telling our parents on Friday night. We had Josiah wear a shirt that said, “Big Brother—Ready or not here I come!” I was more anxious about telling our parents than anything else. They are all very excited and know that this wasn’t our plan, but God has a reason for this little one to come now. I’m
really starting to warm up to the idea of having a second child this
early---I still worry about being able to handle a newborn and a toddler
at the same time. Chris has been very encouraging about my worries and reminds me how great of a mom I already am. I’m so thankful to have a wonderful husband.
I’ve been pretty tired in the afternoons, but Chris takes care of Josiah if I hadn’t taken a nap by the time he gets home. I am remembering the fabulous sleep that I got when I was pregnant with Josiah. I still believe that they need to bottle up these hormones and sell them! Josiah has been sleeping 10-12 hours at night now that he is getting better, so I’m getting some good sleep. If he does get up, then Chris has been getting up with him. Again, I’ve got such a wonderful husband!
We are heading to NC a week from today to spend a week with Papa T & Lin-Lin. Josiah will also get to meet his Great-Granny Kay, Great-Pa Potter and Great-Aunt Sue. Chris and I are looking forward to hanging out with the family and just relaxing. I’m looking forward to the beach and taking some pictures. Hopefully, Josiah will get used to the sand.
Well, I should get going. Today is the day that I head to the church for a few hours. We are kicking off our summer program, so I need to make sure that I have everything ready. Again, we ask that you continue to pray for us and for our new addition, Baby G2.
