Big Boy Breakfast

Well, Josiah ate his first Big Boy Breakfast this morning.  We have really been trying to get him to eat table foods, but he enjoys eating his baby food way too much.  We would feed him baby food and give him some table food, but he would gag whenever he would eat the table food unless it was cheese toast.  Well, Mommy decided this morning  she wasn't going to give him the option of eating baby food.  So I made him so blueberry pancakes and some hashbrowns.  He did an excellent job eating his big boy food.  For lunch, I'm going to give him a grilled cheese sandwich with some more hashbrowns and some veggies.  I'll give him some applesauce after he has eaten a good amount of the other stuff.  Last night, I told Chris my fear is that we are going to have a 2 year old who is still eating baby food!  Smile

The Greenwoods started a family tradition on Saturday, which is walking to the bagel shop for breakfast.  It is a good 30 minute walk one way.  We've been talking about doing this for a few weeks now, but we were either out of town or the weather was bad.  Josiah LOVED his walk and was ready for his morning nap by the time we got home.  We saw some cool animals along the way---Mommy happened to have her camera so we got some pictures of them.  They aren't rare animals, but I must say I was shocked to see them since we live in the city!

We have 2 more days until we leave for NC.  We are pretty excited to have a few days away from all the hussle and bussle.  I'm sure we'll have plenty of pictures when we get back, so be looking for them.
