More Showers of Blessings

Yesterday, we had a baby shower at my work. The Lord continues to bless us beyond our imagination. We are so thankful and appreciative of all that is given to us for Baby Josiah. We received lots of goodies. Everything from clothing to grooming stuff to books to gift cards. Chris and I feel like we are ready for the little guy's arrival.

There has been some talk of maybe putting the car seat and stroller together this weekend. There are a few things we want to check out---how padded the straps are and how much head support the little one will have. There are just a few small things that we will need to get, but we won't need to buy them for a few more months--maybe after Chris gets a position at a church.

Chris and I started our birthing classes last night. There are four other couples in the class. The others are due in July, so we are a little further along than the others. It hit me last night that we are getting down to the wire. After these classes are done, we could potentially have three more weeks until our due date.

Josiah is still really active. We were sitting in class last night and our instructor was telling us that our doctors may have us start counting fetal movements. She said that the baby should move around four times in an hour. Well, Josiah went ahead and did his within 5 minutes. The other night he was up having a party from 2:30 in the morning to around 5:00am. I don't know if this is a sign of what is to come, but I can't wait for Daddy to enjoy some of this wake time with me!! : ) I've gotten to the point that getting up is not so bad any more. It is a good time to just pray for different things--from Josiah being a follower of Christ to having a safe labor and delivery to our ministry together as a family.

This week is going to be a busy week. Family will start coming into town on Wednesday for Chris' graduation. We will have his hooding ceremony with the divinity school on Saturday, then have a celebration meal together. Then on Monday, we will have the Campbell University graduation. We are looking forward to spending time with our family and friends as we celebrate Chris' calling into the ministry.

We are still patiently waiting to hear about a position at a church. The PA church is still a possibility. We will keep you posted on what is going on. Please continue to pray that the Lord will have us where we will be most effective for His kingdom.

Thanks again to all who have helped us celebrate Josiah's arrival.

"Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; make melody to our God on lyre!"
-Psalm 147:7re truly blessed and thankful for each and every one of you!
