Born Again
I want to take a minute to share a cute story from school yesterday. While my students were waiting for the buses to come, one little girl came up and started talking to me. She was telling me how the other day she was at church and her preacher was telling the congregation if they wanted to be born again all they needed to do was come to the front of the church. She told me a lot of people went to the front, but she didn't go because she didn't want to be a baby again because she wanted to grow up and be an adult and teach like I did. It was all I could do not to start giggling. I told her that when you are born again it doesn't mean that you go back to being a baby. I then asked her if she had another idea about what it means to be born again. She then told me she thought it means you act really bad like a baby does. I told her that it didn't mean acting bad. I asked her if she wanted me to tell her what it means to be born again, and she wanted me to. So I explained it is when you accept Jesus into your heart because you realize you are a sinner and you need Him to help you go to heaven and to do good things while here on Earth. I think she was relieved she wouldn't go back to being a baby. I feel like a seed was planted yesterday, and I realized that conversation could be the very reason why the Lord hasn't moved us on to our next place yet.
Just a little update on how Josiah is doing. I went to the doctor on Monday, and he said Josiah is head down. Hopefully, he will stay in that position between now and delivery day. His heart beat was nice and strong--I'm always so relieved when I hear the little guy's heart beat. I go back on June 3rd and get to do the fun GBS test--some abbreviation like that. He asked me if I've started feeling contractions yet, and I told him I didn't have a clue. If I had, then they aren't that bad! He said that we are at the point that if I do go into labor early Josiah should be fine lung wise, so that is a relief.
Chris has sent out some more resumes to churches in other denominations. He has heard back from six other churches who will be bringing his information to their committees. The EPC churches in PA and MI are still possibilities, but they are just taking awhile. Chris decided to send out to other churches and let God close doors on the ones He doesn't want us to go to. We've had a few doors closed, but it brings the pregnant mommy comfort in knowing there are more than two possibilities out there! : )
I only have 10 1/2 more days of school left! I know Chris is looking forward to having summer wife back, and I can't wait for Josiah to meet summer mommy. I am ready to be done as are the kids. We've gotten to the point where they are fighting like siblings. It is a sign that we need to pack up and head home for the summer. I have fun days planned for the last two weeks of school, so hopefully that will help everyone to get along. If not, there will be some who are awfully sad sitting there watching everyone else do the fun things.
PS-We found out that Josiah's cousin is going to be a girl!! We are so excited for Corey and Simon!!!
