It is such a sweet thing as a wife and mom to see Chris get dressed up and me helping the girls to pick out a fancy dress to wear. Chris usually asks before hand where each of the girls would like to go for dinner. He then comes to the front door to pick them up for dinner. He holds their hand as he walks them to the car and then opens the door for them. It melts my heart seeing him take the time to show them how they should be treated by a future suitor.
This year, Kyrie decided she wanted to go to the Mexican restaurant. One day we were driving in the car and the Hooties were talking about where they were wanting to go. Josiah said he was going to take me to Waffle House or IHOP. Tobias said he wanted to take me to Chick-fil-a. Sophie said she wanted Chris to take her to Waffle House. And Kyrie informed everyone that her daddy was going to to take her to hibachi. It just made me laugh because she is our girly-girly. She already likes sparkly fancy things. So, the fact that a fast food restaurant wasn't going to cut it just fits her personality so well!! Kyrie came home all excited about her time with Chris and was talking non-stop...that is how I can tell she has had a GREAT time. Here is a picture before they left for dinner...

Sophie decided she wanted to go to Waffle House. She is a big breakfast person, so this was a perfect decision for her. I think the highlight of her time with Chris was the fact that she got to share a piece of chocolate pie with Chris. Again, when she got home I could tell she had a blast...she was talking non-stop filling me in on all the details. Here is a picture before they left for dinner...
After Chris got done taking the girls to dinner, then it was my turn to be taken out by the boys. Tobias decided that he wanted to take me to Chick-fil-a. He was so precious as he tried to open the door to the restaurant for me. He almost got, but needed a little help. Chris had given him some money before we left. Before we started ordering, he started digging the money out of his pocket to pay for dinner. The cashier thought he was absolutely adorable, but at the same time questioned if he was really going to pay for me. I told him that he was since he was taking me out on a date. I think he was a little surprised, but we believe that it is never too early to show our boys how to treat a lady. We had a lot of fun eating dinner by the window near the drive-thru. Tobias gets so excited about cars and trucks that it just made sense to sit there. It was fun watching him tell me the colors of the cars as they went by and just hearing him chatter about other things. Here is a picture of us before going to dinner...
Josiah and I were the last ones to go on our Valentine's Day date. This year, he decided to take me to Waffle House. I really enjoyed my time we him as we were able to have some in depth conversations. I got to ask him questions and really hear his heart on things. I have to admit that sometimes it is hard doing that when there are three other little ones needing attention. So, I just savored the evening and the conversations we had. Trying not to think too much on the fact that one day he will be taking someone else out besides his mom. But I do know that when that day comes, his date will be treated well because Josiah will know to open the car door for her, to open the restaurant door for her and to pay for her meal. Here is a picture of us before our dinner...
