Thanksgiving 2008

Well, we've celebrated our first Thanksgiving as a family.  We went to Lola and Pop's house in Springfield, VA (about 30 minutes away) and met up with Papa T, Lin-Lin, Uncle Chuck and Aunt Melody.  Josiah LOVED all the attention that his family gave him and liked having some different faces besides Mommy and Daddy to look at.  Josiah had lots of smiles for his Papa T and Lin-Lin.  He also enjoyed a little rest time with Papa T.  Papa T didn't get much of a nap as Josiah was showing him his new talent of taking his socks off!

Our family has so much to be thankful for this year.  We are most thankful for our relationship with our Lord, Jesus Christ.  We are also thankful for the gift of Josiah and, we are truly honored to be his parents.  He has taught us to laugh often and to stop and enjoy the little things in life.  Chris and I are thankful that we are now both doing what God has called us to do.  It has been a long time in the making, but Chris is finally a pastor and I am a stay-at-home-mom.  We are thankful for the home that we have and how the Lord continues to meet all of our needs!  The list could go on and on, but we just wanted to share a few.

We were also able to set up our Christmas tree.  This is very exciting to us because we haven't had a Christmas tree for the last three years.  There are some pictures of our tree and Josiah being his cute little self.

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and was able to relax.  We've said it many times before, but we are thankful for all who have prayed for our family during this year.  Know that your prayers were not said in vain.  Our Lord has been good to us!
